SENIOR GAME PROGRAMMER

As a Senior Game Programmer working on our next game, World of Darkness: Rageborn, and on SESSION: Skate Sim, you will design, implement, and refine core gameplay systems and features that support engaging, responsive player experiences. At creā-ture Studios Inc., our senior programmers are versatile generalists who take ownership of complex systems, identify challenges proactively, and contribute solutions that strengthen both the codebase and the team’s overall quality of work.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the development and maintenance of complex game systems and interconnected feature areas
- Shape technical decisions and contribute actively to architecture discussions
- Identifytechnical risks and propose effective solutions that support project quality, performance, and delivery
- Providetechnical guidance to programmers, leads, and cross-disciplinary partners on complex development challenges
- Mentor junior and intermediate-level programmers and support their continued technical growth
- Lead andparticipatein constructive code reviews that improve code quality, consistency, and maintainability
- Collaborate with directors, designers, artists, and other disciplines to develop creative technical solutions
REQUIREMENTS
- Strongproficiencywith C++ and Unreal Engine, with a solid understanding of scalable game-system architecture
- Demonstratedexperience designing, implementing, and delivering complex game systems through production
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, optimization, and systems-analysis skills
- Sound technical judgment and the ability to make pragmatic decisions under changing production constraints
- Strong cross-disciplinary communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-programmers
- Ability to engage in constructive technical discussions, challenge assumptions respectfully, and evaluate differing approaches objectively
- Experience with real-time networking is considered an asset
